- Join Balti on a tour of the Cabin -

Little girl takes you on a picture tour of the cabin, her favorite spot on the bearskin rug, and gives a glimpse into "roughing it" up north.

- Jim and Lil' Red-

There was a time when Birch Point was just a forest, and one man worked tirelessly to cut in paths, fell trees, build the infrastructure for the work to come, AND befriend a squirrel.

- TOTEM -

Almost 25 years old, and weighing in at just under a ton, the Totem Pole finally found it's permanent home at the end of Birch Point overlooking the fire ring.  Sitting on a base of native field stone, the Totem now stands 30 feet tall amid the birches.  Special thanks to Dean, Kevin, Dave, Eric, Russ, Brenda, Bill, Beth, and Stacy for their efforts in the work.

- FRIENDS & FAMILY -

Over the past two years we've been lucky to have so many friends and family members join us at Birch Point.  Each photo is worth a story, just ask around.

- CANOE -

It's been over a year since we stripped the fiberglass off the old canoe and Bill Doering set to restoring her.  After some investigation, Bill found her original bill of sale, dating her to 1936.  She was built as a heavy water model for a camp in Indiana.  Sunday we saw the work Bill has done to get her ready for canvas.  Replacing broken ribs and rotted board, including a cracked section of mahogany gunnel.  She looks beautiful, and Bill's only 2/3rds done!
