﻿<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><rss version="2.0" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/"><channel><title>- Home - Blog</title><link>http://www.birchpoint-lodge.com</link><pubDate>Mon, 06 Sep 2010 04:16:00 GMT</pubDate><description /><item><title>The Birds</title><link>http://www.birchpoint-lodge.com/the-channel</link><pubDate>Mon, 23 Aug 2010 19:53:54 GMT</pubDate><dc:creator>Travis Cinco</dc:creator><description><![CDATA[<p>Hitchcock could not have better scripted the birds of Birch Point this summer. &nbsp;Herons glide inches above the water, &nbsp;Sandhill Cranes dance in the grasses, Canada geese teach their fledgling gaggle to fly, and the loons are thick this year (7 at highest count). &nbsp;Pileateds, Kingfishers, Bald Eagles, Hummingbirds, and a myriad of woodland birds add to a soundtrack for Summer up here. &nbsp;And the sounds are ever enchanting. &nbsp;A friend described a recent unidentified evening bird noise as a "long and low, mournful call". &nbsp;Hitchcock indeed.</p>
